Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

When my children were little our special time together was bedtime. When it was time for one of them to go to bed, they would say “Mom, I’m ready for bed” and off we would go up the stairs into their room. We would always begin by saying our prayers and then I would climb into bed with one of them and cuddle. We called it spooning, laying side by side my arms wrapped around them. We would talk about their day, I always knew this would be the time each one of them would share the most. Nestled safely in my arms. Continue reading

Friends That Make a Difference

We all can look back on our lives and think of friends that made a difference. As we know Paul had many friends that gave him strength and championed him to continue to spread the gospel to all. Paul knew he had to surround himself with people who believed what he believed and lived out the gospel accordingly. Continue reading

No Life Has To Be Better Than My Life

Last week at PYG we wrapped up our series Behind The Scenes with probably one of the most important topics we have discussed thus far. As we spoke in PYG I did a quick survey to see how many of the teens had been effected in some way by suicide. Not surprising, close to 100% of the teens in the room said that either they or someone they know have wrestled with suicidal thoughts. Sadly there are a great number of kids who are never able to process through their feelings and eventually get to the point where they feel “having no life at all is better than living the life I have now.” Continue reading
