I too weep for others when tragedy strikes. I have always been this sensitive to others when trouble strikes. I think God allows us to feel mournful when a loved one dies. However, that is when He is needed most. Death is so intimidating cause it teaches us how much control we don't have over our own lives. The most heartbreaking news is the loss of a child and I have felt this pain. As the blessed mother has felt the pain of her son on the cross. I yearned for her help when my son passed, as I wanted to know how to stop the tears and stop the pain but it was useless . When I finally realized that I may never end the pain, nor ever stop the tears, I felt okay with this. Jesus is always knowing my heart and always knowing the pain we go through and that in itself offers some comfort. Those people in Oklahoma are hurting and we all can help by letting them know that we care and we hurt for them and we cry with them for all their losses. I found much comfort in family and friends and those people I didn't know who wrote me letters, and prayed and cried with me for my pain. I think when we accept we are not alone and Jesus is with us and people all over care about us, we can then move on........thank you Ruth for your words of wisdom!

I believe there are people in the world who are lonely for love. They may never have been shown love or have no idea how to express love. I have met a few of these types in my caring for the elderly population. I have come to learn that the most difficult of cases often were the one's who were missing being loved, or had a life of no love. These individuals often were angry, sad, bossy, argumentative, and mean. These were the poor souls I would try to offer my friendship, respect, humor, and kindness. I remember one such woman who was just so unhappy, bossy, mean and yelled a lot. I visited her and did chores for her and tried so hard to please her. Nothing I did made her happy. Everyday I left her home I felt sad, and frustrated. Until I thought I would try to continue to be as kind as I could and ask her right out "what am I doing so wrong? Why are you so displeased with me? ". She replied "she was very pleased with me coming, only she wondered why I cared?" " I said I cared about her unhappiness and her being mean. I thought she was very bright, very artistic, very articulate "and she stopped me and said " no one ever told me those things before." All said and done, this poor woman was never given encouragement, nor compliments in her life. When I sat and listened to her stories of her life, she loved me to visit just so she could share a bit about her life. The chores I did for her meant nothing. If I was one minute late she would be annoyed and wonder if she scared me away. We all should look for the GOOD in others because it shows that we care. As Jesus wants us all to be caring to those in need. Imagine the world if we all were kind and giving towards those in need? Thank you Ruth! This was a good memory for me to share with you all.

I love this topic. Never let you go is so true for me as I have one son here on earth and one in heaven. When I first lost my son my biggest and most painful thought was how can I possibly ever say good bye. How could I possibly let go of my baby boy? Who will watch over him and who will be there to love him. When in reality I knew my boy was with God and mother Mary, and even my mom who died when I was a teen age girl. All in heaven together without Me. So what I think about now is I can still be his mother who talks about him with fond memories and love and tears. That's okay cause my son is safe, at peace, having fun, and not experiencing any pain of any kind. That's good! So my never let you go is why I wear my picture of my son everywhere I go. I want him close to me and he is. Gratefully, I have another son who I love to tell him " I love you" as he does reply "I love you too mommy." So Mother's Day for me is bittersweet but I am still and will always be mommy to two sons. Thank you Ruth for this beautiful Mother's Day thoughts. You have a wonderful way of relating the Bible verses to everyday life. The Lord must be so proud of you! Happy Mother's Day Ruth G.

OMG this blog is the best. You all get what is so important in life. The bible is the way, truth and light. God knows our pain, so too, helps us to understand why these terrible mean acts of violence and death are happening. As you stated Ruth, what did this good man name Jesus do to hurt anyone? He was put to death for us, because He knew we needed Him to do this for our sins to be be forgiven. So Jesus Knows! That's what all of us need to know and BELIEVE. When we ask why? For those who are suffering I say "you are not alone, and I will pray for you to find peace."

This article was beautifully written. Yes, the best world view ad that said"God needed a farmer who would be a caretaker of this earth." We are all here to work at doing what The Lord wants of us. I love how this writer used the media to get this message across and brought in how the PowerHouse church is doing the Lord's work.

Ruth, you are such an inspiration to me and I love helping out as best I can just keep writing and those who need Christ are sure to follow. Bless you for your creativity. The woman's Ministry has given me some real hope that I can make a difference in someone's life again. I sort of lost my way for awhile. Thank you so much for all you do to serve The Lord.

Wow, that is so cool....how God takes care of these details that seem overwhelming or out of our reach. Neat to see how praying with one another helps in carrying one another's burdens. VBS was such a hit, and my three year old still out of nowhere starts singing, "I will fly....I will soar...trust in God and leave all your fears.....behiiiind....I will fly!!!"
